Rosenborg to secure an easy win
Bodo/Glimt will be missing Fredrik Andre Bjorkan and Eirik Wollen Steen. Both have serious injury concerns.
Rosenborg have Matthias Vilhjalmsson marked as a doubt ahead of this game. In addition, Erlend Dahl Reitan and Samuel Adegbenro will miss the game with more serious injuries.

Bodo/Glimt lost narrowly 1-0 away at Odd BK in their last game. That result made it three defeats in a row for the northern club, with their 3-1 opening day victory over Lillestrom proving to be a false dawn for the Eliteserien newcomers. They have also failed to find the net in all three of those defeats and that will clearly be a point of concern for coach Kjetil Knutsen. Kristian Fardal Opseth scored two in that opening round win and he will need to be more consistent if Bodo/Glimt are to survive in Norway’s top flight.
Rosenborg produced a great home performance in seeing off Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Molde in the league’s late Sunday fixture. The hosts dominated from start to finish eventually winning by four goals to nil. Alexander Soderlund, Anders Konradsen and Nicklas Bendtner (two) scored the goals. It was the Trondheim club’s first win of the season, which they had got off to a disappointing start with an opening day defeat at Sarsborg followed by two draws. Another positive is the form of Bendtner: Although it is early in the season, he could end up the club’s top scorer yet again after netting a double against Molde.
I think Rosenborg will win this one. Their resounding win over Molde will be the kick-start to their season that they needed – I will go for an easy away win over the newcomers.
Rosenborg’s four opening matches have produced 2.75 total goals on average so far. Following their 4-0 win last time out, goals are finally beginning to flow for the Trondheim club and this game should see them continue. I’ll back three total goals here.
Rosenborg are unbeaten in their last four competitive meetings with Bodo/Glimt. However, an interesting trend to note is that they have failed to win away in their last two attempts, losing 1-0 in 2015 and drawing 0-0 in 2016.
