Deportivo La Coruna: Hope makes life ( Recent Form: L D L W W )
Deportivo La Coruna is suddenly alive again. The Galiciers have been in the tail of the classification for the entire season, but have won their last two league matches. After the 3-2 victory at last minute in Malaga, the blues also came in the difficult away match against Athletic Bilbao as the surprising winner of the battle: 2-3. "The boys have shown personality today," says a visibly delighted Clarence Seedorf. 'Especially in the first half we played very strongly. This team gives everything every game. ' Deportivo La Coruna is still far from safe, but may continue to hope for a good outcome. The team remains in the back with no less than 65 counter-hits in 32 rounds of play extremely vulnerable, but can rely in the front on the good form of Adrian Lopez, who was good for a doblete against both Malaga and Athletic Bilbao. Last weekend, however, FC Porto's former striker had to drop out prematurely, so he is in doubt for next Tuesday. If he does not get fit in time, then vice-club top scorer Florin Andone may come into the picture again.
Sevilla: Out of shape in La Liga ( Recent Form: D L L D D )
Sevilla is a weird team this season. In the cup tournaments, the Andalusians are doing great this season. In the eighth finals of the Champions League, the redwins eliminated the big Manchester United and went into the quarterfinals fighting against Bayern Munich and next week they are in the final of the Copa del Rey against FC Barcelona. Seville understands the art of charging for the big races, but strangely enough the club leaves it in La Liga regularly. Last Saturday, Los Nerviones in their own Sanchez Pizjuan against Villarreal did not get any further than a 2-2 draw, so they did not win five rounds in a row anymore. After the misstep against Villarreal, referee Pablo Gonzalez was the bitten dog. 'Ever Banega should have had a penalty and I did not understand anything about the red card for Wissam Ben Yedder,' coached Vincenzo Montella. The incident with Banega can be disputed, but the red card for Ben Yedder was as ready as a lump for me. The Algerian striker initially got yellow, but received a second yellow card because of a cynical applause. That is just incredibly stupid, Ben Yedder himself realized. Via social media, he apologized afterwards to the Sevilla supporters. Because of the poor shape, European football is now hanging on a silk thread. If Sevilla manages to beat the Spanish Cup final in Barcelona on Saturday, the season would have been saved immediately, but due to the position in the ranking, Montella can not afford to save players. With six more rounds to play, the Andalusians will have to climb at least one spot to secure Europa League football.
After all, Sevilla's mentality is severely affected. They need to regain their spirits. Even if they do not reach the Champions League, they still have the Europa League. Nothing is too hard for them. Sevilla need more effort in this match. Their defense must be solid. It can not bring any insecurity in this battle. They must win. Win for convincing to stimulate the fighting spirit of the players.
