Useful Draw For Lowly Jubilo
Jubilo went down to Gamba Osaka's first win of the season in midweek. They still miss Adailton and Musaev (long term) and have added Takuma Ominami to the injury list, but Tomohiko Miyazaki is back in full training.
Sagan Tosu went down to a home defeat to Kashiwa Reysol in midweek. Yuji Ono scored their only goal in a 2-1 loss. They report that forward Kei Ikeda will be out for one month.

Jubilo Iwata look to be the team that will continue to struggle– especially with the loss of Adailton and Musaev long term. Four goals scored is the lowest in the division but Koki Ogawa, Daigo Araki and Seiya Nakono have potential to help this team in attack. It remains to be seen if manager Hiroshi Nanami will be able to blend the youth with the experience and cover the injuries. More goals, anyway, is the first problem. They only scored in two of their last seven matches. Another possible problem appears to be pushing veteran Shunsuke Nakamura to play more than he perhaps should be. He does not look 100% fit and is not affecting games as he should.
Sagan Tosu's only two wins this season have come against an F.Marinos side struggling to fit a new system and a dire Nagoya Grampus. They're not that cutting edge up front, although they have 10 goals to their name thanks to the help of three against Grampus to boost their goal difference (which is still minus one, as they have conceded 11 goals!). They really need points from these seemingly easier games against teams below them (this one and then Bellmare next) as they then have Sanfrecce and Frontale to contend with.
I would give them the edge in this one but Jubilo may use home advantage and the encouragement of the crowd in their small stadium (they'll play at Yamaha, not the gaping huge Ecopa) to give them a boost, so I'm calling this a draw. I think Tosu on the +1 market is the safest outcome here.
Sagan Tosu have gone behind in the first-half in their last four matches while Jubilo Iwata only have one first-half goal so far. Expect this one to be scoreless after 45 minutes.
These two teams have met 9 times since 2012, with Jubilo winning 4 times to Tosu's 3 victories. There have been 2 draws in that time period. Jubilo won both ties last season.
